STAGE 5 - ARCTIC WASTELAND STAGE

Hidden Secrets

Miclus: 1

Fairy: 2

• Quick Shot: Destroy the large White planes before they can shoot (100,000 points each)
• Miclus: When you cross the border between the land and sea you should see two islands arranged horizontally on the right side of the screen. Move your ship in between the two islands and hover there for a few seconds. A Miclus will appear on the right-hand island.
• Fairy: This is one of the hardest Fairies to uncover. You have to destroy all four parts on each of the two submarines. You'll know if you did this correctly if you see four medals on the submarine. The kicker is you have to destroy the other three parts first before the sub's conning tower. If you destroy the conning tower first, the remaining parts will be destroyed as well, but will not count as being destroyed by you (no medal will appear). (100,000 points)
• Fairy: After the area with the two submarines, you will see an arrangement of 11 underground turrets. They are arranged in a 4-3-4 pattern as in the following diagram. Destroy every turret EXCEPT the one in the middle in the second row (underlined and highlighted in red in the diagram). Later, you will encounter a Large White Plane that releases a Slave Icon when you destroy it. Destroy the plane, and then destroy the remaining middle underground turret. A Fairy will appear if you accomplish all of this. Many thanks goes to Calvin Thoong Boon Yap for this secret!

• Bomb: Destroy all 11 underground turrets.
• Quick Shot: Destroy the plow on the front of the Boss before it exits the screen at the top (50,000 points).
